The construction of this was pretty simple to start. The part where i started to struggle was drying it and attaching the handles because it would start cracking. if i were to redo this piece i would love to add more bowls so theres room to hold food and sauces. This picture was interesting to me because i liked the idea of a charcuterie board and jellyfish because the main part of it could be the bowls. i struggled for a bit when it cracked but i was able to rehydrate and connect it together again and it didn't do any major damage. i also had a hard time making it stay flat and not warp, i used heavy(ish) molds in order to keep it flat but in the end it still warped a small bit.

Life of the artist
The artist i wanted to work from was Claude Monet. He was a founder of French impressionist painting. Monet's father wanted him to go into the family grocery store business but he decided he wanted to become an artist instead. He entered the Le Harve secondary school of arts in 1851. When his mother passed away when he was 16 he went and lived with his aunt, quitting school. Monet married Camille Donieux in June of 1870. Together they had two children, but Mrs. Monet passed away at 32 due to a sickness.
